How to create a website with HTML | Basics of HTML | Middle school computer science  All information comes from the book “Get Coding!” What is HTML? HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is a programming language used to create websites. HTML can be used to used to add text and images and create sections and paragraphs for your page. A document is an HTML web page, which is made up of elements. Elements are made through small codes called tags.  Codes HTML tags are made up with a piece of code surrounded by two angle brackets (< >). An opening tag would be < > while a closing tag would be </>. <p> stands for a paragraph tag. You can create a paragraph for your website like this: <p> This is not a paragraph, but a sentence written for an HTML. </p>  Every code for an HTML must begin with <!DOCTYPE html>.   Solar and Lunar Eclipse; Sixth grade Science; Homeschool For the last week of Homeschool, I’ve been finishing up my workbooks and finals. I cannot believe a whole school year has ended. For the last science session, I learned about Eclipse. So in this blog, I will be explaining the characteristics of the Solar and Lunar Eclipse.  Eclipse: An Eclipse is an astronomical event when one objects blocks another object. There are two types of Eclipse we see on earth, Solar Eclipse, and a Lunar Eclipse. Solar Eclipse: A Solar Eclipse happens when a full moon moves between the Earth and sun, causing the moon to block the sun’s light that reflects to Earth. There are three types of Solar Eclipse: partial, annual and total. When the moon covers a part of the sun, it is called a partial eclipse. An annual eclipse happens when the moon nearly covers the sun, but is too small to completely cover it. If the moon fully blocks the sun, it is called a total eclipse.   ...

South Korea Quarantine rules during the Covid-19 pandemic: Self Quarantine experiences in South Korea  Did you happen to know that you should quarantine yourself for 14 days when you go to South Korea?  Well, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, even Korean nationals should quarantine for 14 days, regardless of vaccination status. This quarantine rule will be changed at July 1st.   I want to share the astonishing experience I had so far in South Korea. Many facts might amaze you too. 1. If you are foreign nationals who wants to visit to Korea and do not have any houses where you could stay, you will be quarantined at a designated government facility at your own cost. (The total cost will be about $1,500, KRW 1,680,000). Even though you are Korean nationals but do not have any suitable places like parents' houses or other relative houses, you should stay at a facility for 14 days and pay the cost, too.  2. But now, the last month of school has finally arrived. So here I am, writing my first blog for June. This week, I have been learning about the Renaissance for World History.  Cold Spring Harbor State Park ; Homeschool Field Trip  It’s been so long since I’ve home schooled, I’m starting to wonder if I will be able to go to real school. But sometimes, I have moments when I miss my friends. And even tho I haven’t seen any middle school teachers yet, I am sure I will like them. But for now, I am planning to enjoy my home school experience as much as I can.  So on one sunny day of April, we decided to go on another home school field trip. This time to cold spring harbor state park. It took 30 minutes drive to get there, but I entertained myself by looking at the trees and clouds passing by. When we arrived, my surroundings was very surprising. The park looked more like a rocky hill, with a harbor in front of it. Spring has arrived and I am very pleased. Sixth Grade Science ; Gravity and Friction in our daily lives ; Homeschool   I haven’t been writing in quite a while. Last time I wrote a blog was during the beginning of March. Now March is coming to and end, and 2021 seems to fly. We had been continuing on the topic: motions. This time, we learned about gravity, and friction in our daily lives. Most of these information is from “Everything you need to know to ace science in one big fat note book”. Force is everywhere. We see and use force everyday. For example, gravity. Gravity is an attractive force between objects with mass. The force of gravity does not happen only when something falls, but it affects all masses. Larger mass has more gravity (like humans), because the strength of gravity depends on both the mass and the distance between masses. Object that are closet to you will pull on you with more gravity.
